The Story Behind This Billboard Explains Why These Parents Are So Eager to Talk to Their Kids

Two California parents have taken extraordinary efforts to rekindle relations with their children, and the journey is not close to being over.

Phil and Willie Jones lost contact with their kids two years ago when they left the Church of Scientology. Their adult children stayed and now won’t have anything to do with them.

KABC TV reports that the Jones family has become what is known in Scientology parlance as “disconnected”:

“They’ve been disconnected, which is what Scientologists call their choice to cut off communication with people outside the church. Mike and Emily Jones are Scientologists. Emily Jones works for the upper management of the church, her parents said.”

The couple says they’ve called and gone to the church to see their kids.

Willie says they were relentless:

“Calling every week, showing up at the doorstep of the church, and we’ve been flat out told that we’re not welcomed.”

The couple said that they saved up and fundraised and got enough money together to buy a billboard near their kids’ Scientology offices in hopes that they’d see it and call them.

But those efforts were shot down by not one, but two, outdoor billboard companies. Page Six reports that the two companies were pressured by the church not to take the business.

Phil Jones told Page Six that they had a deal to put up the billboard a block away from church leader David Miscavige’s office, but somehow the church caught wind of their plans:

“Everything was in place and then bam! We were shut down,” Phil said. He added, “[A Regency sales rep] called to let me know that it had come down from the owner, but she wasn’t told why.

She originally had three calls from Scientology’s media company, who wanted to buy all of their inventory. They are a huge media buyer and apparently wanted to block it through the end of July.”

Finally, a third billboard company came through and the message went up this week.

Phil Jones said he told the company what happened and was relieved when they agreed:

“I told them what had happened, that we got shut down twice and I told them it was about Scientology. One of the first things they said is, ‘We believe in the First Amendment and freedom of speech.’”

Jones says the billboard is within close proximity to the main offices of Scientology. He told KABC that as many as one million people will see it in the month-long run.

The church came out swinging with a statement attacking the couple.

Curvy Model Posts Mic-Dropping Response to Man Who Called Her ‘Fat Cow’

The Internet can be a dark place, with cruel comments abounding on message boards, particularly to women who people think to be “overweight.”

Nobody knows this better than British model Iskra Lawrence.

The 25-year-old model, who is extremely popular on social media, recently received an outrageous comment that attempted to “fat shame” her:

“Fat cow. It’s only cus every f****r on this planet is obese that that’s the norm.”

“Plus-size models? give me a f*****g breaking.

Everyone needs to stop eating McDonald’s.”

[The health care system] is “f****d because of people like her eating too many bags of crisps.”

How did the successful model respond?

She posted a hilarious Instagram video, in which she ate chips in slow motion:

She Was an Irresistible Beauty Queen. But a String of Men Learned Her Dark Secret…

Canadian tourist Alvin Mahli was having a fun night of partying — Miami nightlife-style.

He had been talking to a pretty young woman in a high-end club in the Florida city when she suggested they go back to his hotel room.

Unfortunately, the 40-year-old vacationer found out the hard way that people aren’t always as they seem.

25-year-old Colombian national Liliana Vanegas had designs on Mahli involving something other than romance.

Malhi told CBS-4 Miami that Vanegas picked him up at a club on a late Sunday night:

“I asked her, ‘Why are you talking to me, when you didn’t talk to anyone else all night?’ She goes, ‘She likes men, she doesn’t like boys.’ She asked me if we can go to my room.”

Back at Mahli’s hotel room, Vanegas got drunk and passed out, but at 7 a.m., Mahli awoke to find that Vanegas was awake again, and that he was being robbed.

“She picked up my watch from my side table, and she left. And I quickly jumped out of my bed and by then she had closed her door.”

Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 1.51.44 PM

Mahli told reporters that he caught up to Vanegas and demanded his things.

“I said, ‘Hey, give me my watch back.’ She said, ‘What watch?””

Mahli then dialed 911 as he followed an escaping Vanegas — who he saw get in a car with a man later identified as Francisco Trujillo — or “Daddy,” as police say he was listed in Vanegas’s phone.

Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 2.51.06 PM

Vanegas’s last job had gone better.

In February, Vanegas met a man at another club in Miami Beach and took him back to his hotel room, where she drugged him.

The man woke up the next day to the realization that all of his jewelry had been stolen, including the Versace necklace Vanegas wore in her police mugshot.

On Monday, following Malhi’s incident, police were able to apprehend Mahli and her “Daddy” Trujillo and search his car. They discovered vials of a white liquid which turned out to be water and a mixture of Xanax and Ambien, likely used to sedate Vanegas’s marks.

Mahli told reporters that he was probably only saved from being another one of Vanegas’s victims because he didn’t drink that night:

“Probably she had the intention to drug me as well, but it didn’t go in her favor. I didn’t drink at all and she ended up getting drunk.”

Mahli’s watch was returned to him after police took in Vanegas and Trujillo.

According to the Miami Herald, Vanegas has been charged with grand theft and cocaine possession, and as of Tuesday, is still in jail with a $21,000 bond.

Though Venegas’s past is still somewhat muddy to authorities, Miami Beach spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez did tell the Herald that she had been linked to other thefts and the investigation continues.

Overjoyed Pregnant Woman Says The Most Heartbreaking Part About Becoming a Mom is Who She Can’t Call

Before Emma Leech became a mother for the first time, she suffered the loss of her own mom, Mary.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Mary was diagnosed with a brain tumor before passing away at the age of 54.

Emma says that Mary would have been “the best grandma,” describing her as “warm, lovely, soft, affectionate, so loving and fun.” Emma remembers the time she first learned she was going to be a mom, and how it made her miss her mom.

“It didn’t hit me instantly. I was so excited to be pregnant and just thought it was brilliant news. It became harder throughout my pregnancy when I would have looked to her for help and advice.”

During those times, Emma would always look at the picture she had of her and her mom on the dressing table and think ‘”she would love to be here for this.”

Thankfully, the support Emma received from her husband, sister, aunt, and in-laws helped her get through those difficult times when she just wanted to pick up the phone and give Mary a call.

“I definitely had support from others, I’m lucky to be surrounded by lovely women, but there really is nobody like your mum,” Emma tells Manchester Evening News. “It [sic] just seems so unfair that she is missing this. I hate that my daughter will never know her, that’s really tough.”

But she’s vowed to make sure her six-month-old daughter, Olivia Mary, knows about the woman she’s named after by telling her as many stories as possible.

“One of my favorite memories with my mum is from our trip to New York when I was 17. We walked along Brooklyn Bridge at sunset. It was an amazing evening and something that I will never forget.”

Emma says she can’t wait to do that with her own daughter, and tell her why it’s so important.

Although Mary isn’t here to watch Emma shine as a mom, Emma knows she’s proud of her and she will continue to strive to be half the mom to Olivia as Mary was to her.

“I feel like my mum was such a positive influence in my life, she encouraged me to do whatever I wanted,” Emma says. “I hope I can do this for Olivia. I hope I can help her fulfill her dreams.”

And as a way to honor her mom and St Ann’s, the hospice that took care of Mary during her final days, Emma has been raising money — so far over $39,000 — and has no plans of slowing down.

Emma tells Independent Journal Review that if there is one thing she wants people to take away from her story it’s to “cherish your parents. However long you have them for, will never be long enough.”

6 Ways Cruz Thumped Trump in Wisconsin – But for Fans of The Donald There’s a Consolation

Texas Senator Ted Cruz was the big winner of Tuesday night’s Wisconsin GOP primary, earning 48.2% of the vote and adding another 36 delegates to his total.

His victory came at a time in which GOP delegate frontrunner Donald Trump’s campaign is facing disarray, including the arrest of his campaign manager and suggestion that women should be punished for having abortions.

On the surface, Wisconsin would seem like a state that is tailor-made for Trump. As the (U.K.) Telegraph wrote:

“Unlike Texas and Ohio (the home states of Ted Cruz and John Kasich, respectively), none of his opponents hail from there. And unlike Utah, where he lost badly, Wisconsin is not a caucus, nor does it have a large percentage of Mormons.

Moreover, Mr Trump tends to do well in “rust belt” states where plenty of non-college educated white voters (who do not happen to be Christian evangelicals) reside. What is more, Democrats and independents can vote in the Wisconsin primary, which tends to help Mr Trump.”

Yet Trump lost by double-digits, suggesting that Cruz’s victory may have been fueled by more than just support for the Texas senator.

For example, Cruz beat Trump among voters without a college degree last night — a group that had long been a part of the billionaire businessman’s winning coalition.

The Texas senator also outperformed Trump when it came to those who support his ban on all Muslims.

The controversial proposal has drawn ire from many people across the political spectrum, including Cruz himself.

Wisconsin Republicans even felt that Cruz was more likely to create new American jobs than Trump, who frequently touts his business savvy and campaigns on a platform of job creation.

So what ultimately propelled Cruz to victory over Trump?

The leading thought is that Wisconsin voters prioritized choosing the candidate who they felt had the best chance of beating either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in November over one who was a “straight-shooter.”

That sentiment is one that will be pushed heavily by the #NeverTrump movement as the race moves on. Its proponents were extremely active in Wisconsin over the last few weeks, with the anti-Trump group Our Principles PAC spending more than $2 million in the Badger state alone and the Club for Growth spending another $1 million on pro-Cruz ads.

In fact, support for a candidate who is electable, rather than someone who can bring about change in Washington, was higher in Wisconsin on Tuesday than it was in previous primaries.

A large chunk of Wisconsin Republicans also reported that they are “scared” of what might happen if Trump becomes president — including the majority of Cruz and Kasich supporters.

The race now heads to the North East, starting with Trump’s home state of New York. The billionaire businessman currently has a 30 point lead in the Empire State, according to Real Clear Politics.

He is likely to do well in the neighboring states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut as well — inching him closer to the 1,237-delegate threshold he needs to win the nomination outright before Cleveland.

Cruz may be the one with the momentum on his side, but given the fact that Trump only needs to win 63.4% of all remaining bound delegates while Cruz needs 96.8%, the billionaire businessman still remains in the driver’s seat.

The ads were playful:

…and showed that ‘body positive’ can apply to men, too:

However, the ad campaign backfired on the company after it announced it was all just an April Fool’s joke. The ads were launched during the last week of March and the joke was announced on April 1st.

The company faced some backlash for the joke, which not everyone found to be amusing. In response, American Eagle offered up an apology:

…and noted that the men’s underwear line, though not modeled on the website by men of various shapes and sizes, is real:

The company noted on its Facebook page that it was going beyond the apology: “In addition to donating $25K to NEDA, a non-profit that supports those affected by eating disorders, we’re making a commitment to stop retouching men’s underwear and swim by the 2016 holiday season. For real.”

What do you think about the American Eagle #AerieMan underwear campaign?

It was a funny April Fool’s Day joke

It was not really funny

A Skinhead, Murderer, Preacher and Gang Leader Each Have a Dark Past. And One Special Thing in Common.

When you think about a murderer, a Skinhead, a drug dealer or a gang leader, you probably associate those titles with words like ‘criminal’ and ‘scum.’

However, when we peeled back the curtain on the lives of a murderer, a Skinhead, bodyguard for drug dealers, and a gang leader, what we found is extraordinary.

Shaka Senghor:

unnamed

Growing up, Senghor’s mother was abusive. Like many kids, he eventually saw his parents divorced. At the impressionable age of 14, he decided to run away:

“Through that process, I got caught up in the drug culture. Older more seasoned hustlers took advantage of that naivety and vulnerability.

Within the first six months, my older two brothers were shot and a friend of mine was murdered. At 17, I ended up getting into a conflict and fired what ended up being 4 fatal shots into a man. I was sentenced to 40 years in prison and served 19, 7 of which were in solitary confinement.”

But something happened to Senghor in solitary:

“It is a feeling of complete hopelessness and helplessness. One of the things that stuck with me is a guy a few cells over attempted to commit suicide by setting himself on fire.

Then, I got a letter from my son where he told me he knew that I was in prison for murder. And it shattered all the street savviness and the prison yard toughness.”

However, after being able to journal his experiences in what he calls “self-healing,” Senghor realized something about himself — he was a ‘good kid’. And he wanted to help others who experienced neglect, abuse and gun violence, because he understood the “reality of it.”

Senghor, who has since written a New York Times best-selling book about his experiences, is making a difference through organizations he works with like Cut 50 that work to reduce the prison population:

Senghor

“I go around the country sharing that mission with others. I get kids, parents, educators, policy makers reaching out to me all the time, telling me how they’re impacted by what I do.”

Christian Picciolini:

pic

Growing up, Christian had a pretty normal childhood, but low self-esteem. When he was 14, smoking a joint one day, a man came up to him with a skinned head:

“A Firebird screeched to a halt a few feet from me and this guy walked out. He had a skinned head and a pair of black boots.

“He said ‘don’t you know that is what the capitalists and Jews want you to do to keep you docile?’ His name was Clark Martel. Martel gave me a reason as to why I could have been disenfranchised. So at 14, I was recruited.”

Things changed quickly in just a year. Picciloni had risen to a prominent position:

“We would walk around in our White Power band t-shirts with our nylon jackets, wearing our Celtic Cross or Nazi Swastika patches looking for trouble.”

At one point, Picciolini had two White Power bands. One band, Final Solution, even performed in Weimar, Germany, in front of a few thousand Skinheads.

While there, Piccolini took this photo during a visit to Dachau Concentration Camp:

dachau

Then, something happened at a McDonald’s one night that made him start seeings things a bit differently:

“I was just out with the guys and we were out drinking. We went to McDonald’s and there was a group of black kids standing in front on us. I said ‘This is our McDonalds,’ ‘Get the f*** out.’ They left and we chased after them. One of them turned around and fired a couple shots until his gun jammed.

“When we caught him, we beat him pretty badly. As I was kicking him and his face was covered in blood, he looked up at me and I had a moment of clarity, where I felt like he was my brother, so I stopped. Then the sirens cut through and we took off.”

Picciolini then lost his business and his marriage fell apart. He went through a four-year bout of depression with alcohol and drugs, eventually turning things around, writing a book about his story and starting a nonprofit called Life after Hate.

picci

“It’s essentially an organization that does prevention work and shows people how easy it is to go down a path of racism. We also help people leave hate groups.”

‘Machine Gun Preacher’ Sam Childers:

At the age of 16, Childers found himself using heroin in the bathroom:

“That’s when I seen I didn’t have anything in control, and kept going deeper.

“I become a hired gun for drug deals. The main thing you make sure the people are selling and buying are not going to get ripped. For a number of years, if a person knew me, they knew I didn’t mess around.”

But it all changed one night for Childers at bar fight in Orlando, Florida, where people were shot and stabbed:

“I made a decision that I’m done with all this. I moved 1,000 miles away and decided it was time to live a new life.”

Six years later, Childers went on a mission trip to Africa with his church. It was there that his life would take on a whole new meaning:

“I went to put roofs on a Bible college in a war zone. When I got there, I went out into the war zone and came across the body of a child that stepped on a landmine. I knew I had to do something and got caught into the middle of the Civil War.”

Today, Childers runs orphanages in South Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia.

Childers tells Independent Journal Review that they take care of around “350-360 kids at any given time and provide 6,000 meals everyday, six days a week.”

Arthur Reed AKA Silky Slim:

Slim

Growing up in a home with a “militant family structure” that glorified the street life, Slim had to fend for himself by a young age. At just four years old his mom was sent to prison.

“I had to break into washing machines and telephone machines by prying it with a crowbar to feed myself.”

From there, it escalated to robberies then armed robberies:

“I was sent to prison in the 7th grade, came home, started a gang called the Southside Wrecking Crew. I went to prison 4 times, have 62 arrests, 7 convictions.”

But on a routine drive to pick some drugs in Los Angeles, that all changed:

“Me and some gang members were headed from Louisiana to South Central. We left Louisiana and traveled from there to El Paso. And I was hungry and set let’s get something to eat. When I got off the interstate, a voice said, ‘Look at this billboard.’

“And I look up and see a billboard with this actual wrecked car through it, and it says everyone wore a seatbelt and everyone lived.

“We got to LA and got our drugs. And then I took my seatbelt and I took it off to lay back and covered up with the blanket. And then a voice came back said, ‘Put my seatbelt on and look outside,’ it was raining pretty bad. I told my boy to slow down he was doing 77 miles per hour. He said he was fine.

“And instantly an 18 wheeler was changing lanes and clipped the SUV Tahoe and [we] went over the side of the mountain. Everyone died, except me. I walked away without a scratch. Shortly after, I put my gun down and never picked it up again.”

Now Slim runs a organization called Stop the Killing Inc., which is focused on stopping street violence and educating youth:

Slim1

bbcc4275-353f-49fa-929d-db78326730f2

Slim tells Independent Journal Review that his work “impacts the lives of thousands.” Most recently, a kid who wanted to take his own life decided against it after hearing the former gang leader’s story.

When someone goes down that type of dark path in life, the chances of them turning things around are “rare”, according to former U.S. Deputy Marshall Marc Cameron.

He says, “Just turning around is a big deal. There is a side of us that desperately wants to see this though. Holding out that it is possible restores our faith in humanity.”

Though they have dark pasts, these four men show the power of accepting personal responsibility for one’s actions and making a conscious decision to redeem previous faults.

Guys Are Asked Which One of These Girls Is the Hottest. Then They Get Told She’s a Trump Supporter…

Does supporting Donald Trump make you less attractive to the opposite sex?

It’s a question we’ve asked before, when our own Kayla Brandon posed as a rabid Trump supporter in her Tinder profile.

In short, it didn’t stop her from getting any dates.

Emmy-nominated filmmaker Jon Hotchkiss also posed this question, in video form.

He corralled a bevy of bikini-clad beauties and invited guys to talk to them.

The catch? Whichever one the guy deemed as the “hottest” was outed as a Trump supporter.

Would the guys continue to chat up their favorite woman, even after this revelation?

Short answer? Heck yes, they would.

The experiment sought to see if the guys would project intelligence onto whatever woman they thought was the most physically attractive.

Only 25 percent of the men surveyed changed their mind about their preferred beauty when her political allegiance was revealed.

It looks like Trump fans should have no problem finding dates.

Sarah Palin’s Latest Threat Causes Rapper to Accuse Her of ‘Spreading Her Buttcheeks’ For Trump

[Editors note: the following article contains language some may find offensive.]

You know those roller coasters that send you rocketing into the air at 128 mph, level off for a brief second, and then plummet straight towards the earth at terrifying speeds?

Well, that’s pretty much what is happening between Azealia Banks and Sarah Palin.

It’s one loopy hell-ride.

To recap, it started when Banks fell for a satirical news article that ‘quoted’ Palin saying African-Americans willingly accepted slavery. A furious Banks said Palin should be gang raped.

The 52-year-old mother of five fired back on Facebook, urging Banks to change her mind.

Apparently, that was just the beginning.

Palin decided not to hold back and told People she would sue Azealia “on behalf of all reasonable women of every age, race and political leaning.”

She said:

I’ve had enough of the unanswered threats and attacks against my family and me.

“So, for the first time I’m going to enjoy the only retribution some protected ‘celebrities’ seem to understand – I’m suing Azealia Banks and can’t wait to share my winnings with others who have gone defenseless against lies and dangerous attacks far too long.”

After the threat of a lawsuit loomed over her head, Azealia ‘apologized’ in a long Tumblr rant…but the end is truly bizarre.

First she says Palin is misunderstood:

April 5, 2016
Dear Sarah Palin,

I hope this message reaches you in good spirits and in good health. I want to start this letter off by telling you that I actually, really like you. While many other American people may see you as someone to be ridiculed, I truly believe that you possess a certain “je ne sais quoi,” (a french term which is often interpreted to denote one’s inexplicable charisma.) Given a bit of book-reading/media-training/patience, that charisma could become your magic carpet. There is something very charismatic and misunderstood about you. The misunderstood bit oftentimes reminds me of myself. You’re very passionate about the things you believe in, super determined, and most certainly aware of who you are and where you stand in this world, as a parent, as a politician, but most importantly, as a woman.

Azealia then blamed her rape threat as a “racially driven joke”:

“Given the propensity of conservative right-wing media publications to veer into very fearful/erroneous/baseless/contradictory/prejudice analyses of us ‘melanated,’ peoples of the United States, It should come as no shock to you that a satirical article accusing you of saying, “Even the French understand that Slavery wasn’t our fault because the negroes liked it,” Would be provocative enough to ruffle a few feathers. Now since learning that the article was not published officially, I sincerely apologize for any emotional distress or reputational scarring i may have caused you.

“In my honest defense, i was completely kidding. I happen to have a really crass, New-York-City sense of humor, and regularly make silly jokes in attempts make light of situations which make me uncomfortable. As the fabric of the American Nation is EMBEDDED with racism, I merely made a raCIALly driven joke to counter what i believed to be real, raCIST rhetoric.

“Also, i never said you should be raped. I used the term “run a train,” which is slang for group sex, NOT for “rape.” There are many distinctions between the two. As a woman, I would never trivialize something as lewd and criminal to provide myself any sort of comic relief because it simply… just isn’t funny. (and no, urbandictionary.com is not a reputable source of information to seek clarity on the aforementioned dichotomy). However, i find great irony in the right-wing media’s attempt to “victimize,” you in this situation. Seeking empathy through sensationalism is something left-leaning liberals are frequently ridiculed for by the Right. But American Hypocrisy is nothing new.”

Finally, she invoked her right to free speech:

“…I’ve recently had the opportunity to indulge in a few lengthy conversations with some very popular conservative figures. I’ve concluded: Amongst millennial conservatives, Censorship paired with the (questionable) social necessity for political correctness are atop the list of social grievances.

“…I too harbor a similar sentiment regarding censorship and self-expression, as i am an artist. I cherish my ability to express myself freely, yet remain totally aware that for every action, there will be a reaction.

“All in All, Woman to Woman, I hope you will accept my sincerest apology.

Sincerely,
-Miss Azealia A Banks.”

It sounds sort of sincere! Right?

Well, then she added this:

P.S.:
-I am an EXTREMELY intelligent woman, Mrs. Palin.
-“Hey Female Rapper,” was your way to euphemize what you REALLY wanted to say. What you wanted to say was, “Hey little Stereotypical Black, Thing!”
-Realize that stereotypes are a product of what I like to call the “Critical White Gaze.” The basic fundamentals of the Critical White Gaze are Fear, Ignorance, Curiosity, and Fetishization.
-Intelligence is not something which can be quantified in 140 Characters.
-Twitter is not real, neither is your opinion of me!
-If Bristol Palin listened to my music she probably wouldn’t have all those cotdamn kids!!!! ;-P #sis #iud #stayinschool #causeitsthebest

After hearing that Palin told People magazine that she might take legal action “on behalf of all reasonable women of every age, race and political leaning,” Banks went mental on Twitter.

Here’s just a taste of the some of the vulgarities:

But wait! There’s more…

Just this morning she posted a bizarre anti-white rant on her Tumblr...

“And another thing….
Despite their best efforts to conceal the contempt and envy that the cracker has for Blacks and other people of color …they just can’t hide it and it’s seeping from the seams of their being.

i’m 100% positive that the police killings, cultural appropriation, Trump and Palin etc. represent the contempt that whitey shares for this intangible , uncontrollable new black mind that’s been steeping for a while now. The mind born of very intelligent and real conversations/confrontations around American Racism. And the detachment of the Black mind from the mirage of a subpar existence and self-perceptions that crackers created for us long ago. They feel exposed and out of control for once. And our big black ideas and expression are threatening to further expose them, so they’ll try to trivialize and minimize our blackness by stereotyping us.

They’re running out of mental mind-fuck tricks.

Like really they are.

Blackness is frustrating crackers nowadays because it’s threatening their sense of security and being. We no longer care about what they think, so it’s hard to control us.

They’re relying on old tricks in hopes that it quiets us down.

Cultural Appropriation has nothing to do with “liking” or “admiring”…it’s about power and dominance and cracker wanting to control conversations and expressions of identity that don’t belong to him.

Fuck whitey

Shots fired…

Twin Brothers Searching for Their Birth Mom Find Her. But Not Before Making a Frightening Discovery.

On September 30, 2015, twin brothers Curtis and Lewis Nickle began the search for their long lost birth mother.

According to the Mirror, Maxine Showers was forced to put Curtis and Lewis up for adoption because of the “difficulties” she was going through at a very young age.

Having never known their birth mother, the now 19-year-old boys decided it was time to reconnect with Maxine to let her know they “love her and have never blamed her for them being adopted.”

But after their adoptive mother gave them their birth mother’s name, a Google search revealed that just two days earlier, Maxine was brutally murdered by a “client.”

Curtis and Lewis had these words for their mom’s killer:

“You have taken away from this world a beautiful, wonderful person. No amount of apologizing will ever bring our mom back. So your remorse, if you have any, is not accepted.”

Unfortunately, Curtis and Lewis aren’t the only two kids Maxine left behind, she was also the proud mother of five other children who knew and loved her.

As Liverpool Echo reports, one of her 12-year-old daughters also spoke out against her mom’s killer.

“I was very close to my mom and he had the cheek to kill her. He is sick. I don’t know anyone who is that sick and low to kill a mother. Michael Williams has taken my mom away from me, away from my brothers, away from my sisters, away from my dad and the rest of the family. We think of her every day. We miss her.”

Williams received a twenty-two year sentence for what he did Maxine.

And while Curtis is heartbroken that he will never have the chance to get to know his birth mother, he writes on Facebook that he knows she’s “so proud” of all of her children.
