James Comey Isn’t Worried About Congress Having His Memos (and You Can See Them HERE)

I know there are Trumpledoos squeeing with delight that Congress is looking for former FBI Director James Comey’s memos.

To the true acolytes, Comey, especially with his book, threatened the Precious, so he must be taken down.

The RNC are sending a silly mascot to follow him around on his book tour.

(Kind of the same way Trump-loyal Breitbart worked with a Democrat operative to disrupt Marco Rubio events during the primary, by showing up dressed as a robot.)

Some series of these attacks on Comey have to work, right?

I mean, he’s probably so desperately stressed, now!

Or not.

According to Comey – transparency – he can dig it.

Regarding Congress seeing his memos:

“I don’t care. I don’t have any views on it. I’m totally fine with transparency,” Comey told CNN Thursday. “I’ve tried to be transparent through this, and I think what folks will see if they get to see the memos is I’ve been consistent since the very beginning, right after my encounters with President Trump. And I’m consistent in the book and tried to be transparent in the book as well.”

I don’t know that there had been a big, elaborate attempt to keep Congress from seeing the memos, but three Republican committee chairmen sent a letter to the Justice Department, saying there was no legal basis to withhold the memos from them.

Ok. So you’ve got them. Now what?

The Associated Press released those memos on Thursday evening.

Among some of the tidbits, Comey describes a dinner with Trump that was pleasant, but chaotic, with Trump moving from topic to topic, with very little silence, in between.

Trump said nice things about him, insisted that he (Comey) was well liked by everyone in the FBI, but asked what he wanted to do, pointing out that there were 20 people who wanted his job.

They talked about the Russia investigation and the dossier. Comey warned him that the information was in a lot of hands and that the media would be looking for a way to spin it into a news story. The FBI’s job was to assure the president was not put in a position where he might be compromised.

Trump attempted to defend himself against claims of Russian pee-pee prostitutes and all the women who had accused him of sexually assaulting them.

The president also mentioned his first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, saying the man had “serious judgment issues.”

Ya think?

There’s a lot to dig into. Quite a bit is redacted, but not so much that you don’t get a feel for what is being said.

You can check them out here.

Team Trump Adds Another Fox News Personality to Combat Russia Probe

Well, I’m going to guess that they’ve reached desperation levels with the Trump legal team. Having been rejected by multiple attorneys and white collar law firms, the team made a desperate lunge and grabbed the only remaining lifeline available to Donald Trump.

That means grabbing somebody else from Fox News.

This particular somebody is former New York mayor, Fox News regular, and Trump loyalist, Rudy Giuliani.

Jay Sekulow announced the addition of Giuliani earlier Thursday.

“I am announcing today that former New York City Mayor and United States attorney for the Southern District of New York Rudy Giuliani is joining the President’s personal legal team,” Sekulow said in a statement, adding that Trump said Giuliani is “great” and has been his friend “for a long time.”

The word is that they feel Giuliani has a prior relationship with special counsel Robert Mueller, and as such, he may be able to negotiate an end to the Russia probe.

Others have described Giuliani’s addition to the team as being more “political muscle,” than legal heft, since it has been many years since he has been inside a courtroom.

Personal Tragedy Hits Former National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster

My condolences to former National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. With my own wounds still fresh, I know nothing is more jarring than the sudden, unexpected loss of a loved one.

In this case, it appears McMaster has lost his father to suspicious circumstances.

According to sources, the Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and the Department of Health are all investigating the death of former National Security Advisor General H.R. McMaster’s father, 84-year-old H.R. McMaster, Sr.
It is being investigated as a suspicious death.

The elder McMaster was living in a senior care retirement community, called Cathedral Village, where he was receiving care, after suffering a stroke.

In the past, I’ve worked as a caregiver to the elderly and disabled, so I have an idea how these setups work, and this should set off all kinds of alarms.

The allegations are that McMaster Sr. fell, hit his head, was put in a chair and then died. He allegedly did not receive proper care.

Investigators are probing information from some staff members who informed the McMaster family that records were falsified pertaining to this death.

He passed away on April 13.

Police executed a search warrant for the facility on Tuesday. Cathedral Village’s spokesperson has said that they are cooperating fully in the investigation, have contacted the Department of Health, and are doing their own, internal investigation.

Abuse and neglect in elder care facilities is, unfortunately, a very real problem. In many of the cases, the residents are helpless, the staff are overworked, and sometimes, the unthinkable happens.

As someone caring for a disabled parent now, my heart goes out to McMaster and his family. I care for my dad at home, because we couldn’t bear the thought of sending him to a facility. I don’t know how I would react to news like this, but it can’t be easy, and I’m sure there are some in the McMaster family blaming themselves.

Prayers for them all.

George H.W. Bush Shares an Eternal Truth About His Barbara

This is a wonderful memorial to the memory of Barbara Bush, and it was delivered by the person who knew her best.

Barbara Bush and former President George H.W. Bush were married for an astounding 73 years.

Their time on this earth together ended Tuesday, after Mrs. Bush finally succumbed to a year-long struggle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) and congestive heart failure, at the age of 92.

In that time, she lived a lot, loved a lot, and left a legacy that included 6 children, 17 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

She raised a two-term president, as well as a governor of Florida.

She had more, however. What she left has nothing on what she was going to, and her loyal husband knows it.

In a statement on Wednesday, the senior President Bush told the world not to worry about the Bush family, right now. They’re holding to a greater hope.

He loved her. He loves her still, and he and their family are clinging to the sure promise that Christians understand.

2 Corinthians 5:6-8 AMP – So then, being always filled with good courage and confident hope, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]— we are [as I was saying] of good courage and confident hope, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.”

Mrs. Bush may be absent from her body, and away from the sight of her loved ones, but she has not ended, only moved on to her promised rest from sickness, age, and stress.

It is the same hope and promise that all believers share. She is much better off today than she was several days ago.

God bless the Bush family.

Stormy the Philanthropist: Porn Star Announces Plans to Donate Lawsuit Winnings (You Won’t Be Surprised)

In all the hub-bub over Stormy Daniels and the affair with Donald Trump, let’s not make the mistake of thinking there are good guys and bad guys, here.

They’re both pretty reprehensible.

I mean, Daniels is likely the one telling the truth here, but she’s still a porn star, leaving her personal, broken brand across the back of morality in this nation.

She’s also the type of woman that would sleep with a married man.

(She’s the type of woman that would sleep with Donald Trump, so, eeewww.)

Yeah, she didn’t do that on her own, either. Trump was the one that pledged a vow to Ivana Marla Melania.

Like I said, they’re both awful.

With that in mind, nobody should be clutching their pearls over a Penthouse Magazine interview with Daniels, where she says she’ll be donating to Planned Parenthood in Trump and Michael Cohen’s names, should she win her case against them.

The cover of the magazine shows Daniels with an American flag and the headline, “Penthouse Pet of the Century: Getting Intimate With the Most Wanted Woman in America.”

While discussing the affair with Trump, Daniels said she’ll be donating $130,000 to the abortion mill, a symbolic move to represent the $130,000 she was paid in hush money to not spill about the affair before the 2016 election.

“I don’t have shame. You can’t bully me,” Daniels told the magazine, according to the Daily Beast.

Yeah. Given your career choices, we can pretty well assume you have no shame. Or morals. Or dignity.

But speaking of Trump and his lawyer, I would say you do have a point.

“It was great working with Stormy for this issue, and the pictures are beautiful,” Penthouse executive editor Mish Barber-Way told the Daily Beast. “In the feature article she talked to us about her incident with the president. It also really gets to the heart of who Stormy is, and we reveal another side of her.”

I would imagine there are many who’ve seen pretty much every side of her.

The $130,000 to Planned Parenthood is a lot, but as somebody pointed out elsewhere, it’s nothing. Trump just signed off on giving them $500 million.

A Tale of Two Carmines: Was Trump Mistress the First to Receive Mysterious Threat?

Well, here’s a story worth digging into.

To begin, former Trump mistress/porn star, Stormy Daniels released a composite sketch on The View of the man she claimed approached her in a parking lot and gave a not-so-thinly-veiled threat, regarding an interview she was about to give in 2011 about her affair with Donald Trump.

Daniels retold of the jarring event in March:

“I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter. Taking, you know, the seats facing backwards in the backseat, diaper bag, you know, getting all the stuff out. And a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,’ ” Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, told Anderson Cooper on CBS’s “60 Minutes” in March.

“And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone,” she continued.

So is that a threat that any of you would be freaked out about?

Of course it is.

I can’t think of anyone, especially a new mom, who wouldn’t be shaken up.

A report by Sparrow Media bears a freaky resemblance. It unwinds an FBI documents from a 2009 extortion investigation involving Donald Trump and a caller named “Carmine.”

Trump’s casino business had gone bankrupt and Trump Entertainment Resorts had defaulted on payments to investors to somewhere north of $1.25 BILLION.

For those keeping score, that’s almost half of what Trump is worth.

The law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan was handling the case on behalf of the investors. Kristopher Hansen was the lawyer in charge, and also the person who received the threatening call.

According to the Holmdel Township Police the threat specifically stated:

“My name is ‘Carmine’ I don’t know why you are f**king with Mr. Trump but if you keep f**king with Mr. Trump, we know where you live and we’re going to your house for your wife and kids.”

Apparently, “Carmine” wasn’t a student of bankruptcy law.

The FBI records show the call came in on February 18, 2009. Also, at the time of the investigation, Hansen suggested that he felt the caller was Trump’s bodyguard.

Other notes in the FBI documents gave the number that the call came from and show that the number was to a pay phone on 54th Street, across from the Ed Sullivan Theater, in New York.

How is that important?

It’s probably just a crazy coincidence that Donald Trump and his entourage were taping a segment inside the Ed Sullivan Theater for David Letterman’s show, at the time.

You can take these two stories a number of ways, but it really does seem to indicate a pattern.

And does that sketch look like a “Carmine” to you?

Fox News Issues First Statement Over Sean Hannity’s Role as “Mystery Client” of Michael Cohen

So you guys don’t know what to make of this either, do you?

After Monday’s shocker that Fox News personality, Sean Hannity, was the mystery “third client” of Trump fixer, Michael Cohen, you have to wonder how Fox News would handle it.

For his part, Hannity attempted to blow off the controversy by saying he and Cohen had been friends for years, and any business they had was minor.

“I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective,” Hannity said, adding that the conversations “dealt almost exclusively about real estate.”

He also said something about tossing $10 at Cohen and expecting attorney-client privilege for it.

Nothing about that sounds right.

Judge Kimba Woods apparently agrees, as she ordered Cohen to reveal the name of his mystery client in open court.

Reporters present in the courtroom said that everyone in attendance audibly gasped.

Today, Fox released a statement.

“While FOX News was unaware of Sean Hannity’s informal relationship with Michael Cohen and was surprised by the announcement in court yesterday, we have reviewed the matter and spoken to Sean and he continues to have our full support,” the network said.

So they were as taken aback as everyone else.

On Monday night’s program, Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard University law professor, chastised Hannity for keeping his connection to Cohen secret, while railing against the investigation surrounding him, on air.

Fox is standing behind him now, but there’s likely far more than simple real estate deals and an occasional $10 passing hands.

Trump Mistress’ Lawyer Predicts Charges for Michael Cohen (and Troubles for Trump)

He makes a good point.

If you’re the betting sort, Michael Avenatti, attorney for porn star/Trump mistress Stormy Daniels has a tip for you: Michael Cohen will face charges.

Speaking on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the lawyer gave his assessment of what we’re seeing played out, regarding the longtime “fixer” for Donald Trump, and the current scandal he finds himself wrapped up in:

“From what I’ve heard, from what I’ve seen, there’s no question that Michael Cohen is going to be charged,” Michael Avenatti said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “It’s only a question of when. And I think it’s going to happen within the next 90 days.”

Avenatti made a similar prediction on Monday, as the news of just how deep in the mire Cohen was, began to take shape.

Cohen’s home and office were raided by federal authorities in New York last week, after a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller. The order was signed off on by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

According to federal prosecutors, Cohen has been under investigation for months. The goal of the raid was to uncover information regarding the payments to Avenatti’s client, Stormy Daniels, as well as to former Playboy model, Karen McDougal.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, it seems.

Besides potential campaign finance violations (regarding those payoffs), he’s also being investigated for possible wire and bank fraud charges.

Cohen and his attorney’s were up in arms over audio recordings of conversations that were kept in his offices, and it now appears the FBI are in possession of those recordings.

So who was recorded and just how damning are those conversations?

It’s still early, but the anticipation is delicious!

Avenatti went on to say that President Trump has good reason to sweat, now.

“Based on my experience in white-collar criminal investigations and prosecutions, the likelihood of him not rolling over is very, very slim,” Avenatti said.

“I can’t imagine he’s going to go to trial or potentially face 10, 15, 20, 25 years in a federal penitentiary for anybody, let alone a guy, Donald Trump, who left him behind when he went to Washington, D.C.”

I don’t know that Trump “left him behind.” He may not have an official role in the administration, but he’s definitely still involved. That doesn’t mean he didn’t expect more, however, and when weighed in the balance, it may all come down to loyalty.

Add Another Nude Model Mistress to the Voices From Donald Trump’s Past

Just more stories of Donald Trump’s historic scumbaggery.

Hounded by the press, since being named in a suit by former Trump mistress and Playboy model, Karen McDougal, another mistress has been flushed out into the open.

The latest to come forward is another former Playboy model, Barbara Moore.

Moore claims to have carried on an affair with Trump from March 1993 to September 1993 – while then-Trump girlfriend, Marla Maples, was pregnant with their daughter, Tiffany.

How familiar does that sound?

To be honest, I can’t feel overly sympathetic with Maples.

If they’ll cheat with you, they’ll cheat on you, Dear.

From the Daily Mail:

‘It was a passionate affair, he was a great lover and a gentleman.

‘But at the time I didn’t know he was with someone else, let alone engaged to Marla Maples and it was only recently I learned she was pregnant at the time. This has shocked me, but I don’t hold it against Donald, he was a great lover and I think he’s a great president.’

Yeah, she’s a Trump supporter. She apparently thinks he wrote “The Art of the Deal” himself.

She tells the story of meeting Trump at his Trump Castle Casino hotel, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

As Miss December, 1992 Moore was hired by Playboy to do a fashion show at the posh casino hotel.

She flew out to New Jersey with five other playmates and a chaperone and recalls being excited at meeting the high flying businessman made famous by his best-selling 1987 book Trump: The Art of the Deal.

‘We were all pretty excited because Donald Trump was The Donald and he had not long written The Art of the Deal.

‘And, you know, he’s a powerful man and he was one of the most eligible bachelors in the world.’

Moore goes on in nauseating detail about the party after the fashion show, the Playmates “fawning” over Trump, but how she was the one who got the opportunity to jump into bed with him that first night.

She felt special because she became a notch on his bedpost without even putting up a fight.

She’s apparently easily impressed.

She’s not the first broken child who was convinced that if a guy would sleep with her right away, it must mean she’s “special.”

Her next encounter was several days after returning home.

Moore, who these days lives in Phoenix, Arizona, recalls: ‘I was in my Beverly Hills apartment, a brand new place. I didn’t even have furniture yet. I was sitting on the floor and I remember Donald Trump calls me up and he invited me right away to Mar-a-Lago and I was pretty excited.’

A few weeks later at the end of April Trump flew Moore first class to Florida.

Knowing he might be busy for some of the trip the model asked if she could bring a friend, which Trump agreed to.

Moore and a fellow playmate stayed at the mansion for five nights.

The Daily Mail piece is full of pictures of Moore at Mar-A-Lago, some with time stamps to correspond with the time frame she claims to have carried on her tryst with Trump.

Moore – who wasn’t aware of Trump’s relationship with Maples at the time – recalls seeing a tiny passport size photo of a woman sitting on a kitchen counter inside the mansion.

The woman, she later learned, was Maples. Trump never told Moore he was in a serious relationship.

Yeah, the illusion of thinking you’re the only one…

Speaking of their phone calls, Moore remembers:

‘He always had time for me and would always say “hi, beautiful.” And that made me feel good. I got so comfortable with the phone calls, he wanted to know how my days were and he’d mostly talk about me.

‘I definitely felt like our relationship was getting stronger. And, and that’s when he invited me to New York to the Trump Tower and I just thought that, you know, we were an item. I thought that we were dating and I was special.’

There’s that word again.

No, honey. I think you’re confusing the word “special” with “willing.”

Just like Maples, to be fair.

Moore wasn’t just willing. She was nasty.

Part of her story was a disgusting tale of having sex while a friend watched.

‘She was kind of giggling and it was playful, but he, he was only focused on me and it didn’t really matter because we were such good friends and I didn’t care she was there.

‘It wasn’t a normal thing for me to have somebody in the room. I was really young and it’s just what happened.’

She said it never occurred to her that Trump could be dating somebody else, much less engaged. Her aunt, who lived in New Jersey, told her he was “dating somebody named Marla.”

She said the calls and visits sort of dried up in September 1993. Tiffany was born in October 1993.

In December, he married Marla Maples.

Moore remembers reading in the newspaper that Trump had married.

‘That made so much sense to me because I was like wondering why was this relationship was getting distant?

‘But I was still shocked when I found out, because he was obviously with her at the same time as he was with me.

‘I never knew. What’s worse is that she was pregnant and gave birth before they married, that I didn’t know until recently.’

She goes on to point out that no one has approached her to offer her money to keep her story quiet.

And while this was a long time ago, it really is another depressing look at the character of a man who has the morals of a pig.

But this counts as “leadership” material in this wretched world, today.

Great job, everybody.

So Today Hasn’t Been a Total Loss for Michael Cohen (He Gets a Win in Court)

Well, it hasn’t been a complete bust for Trump fixer personal attorney, Michael Cohen today.

Cohen and his attorney were in a federal court in Manhattan today pushing several points.

One of those was that his legal team wanted to see the material seized by agents last week, when the FBI raided Cohen’s home and office.

Ok. No problem.

Judge Kimba Wood, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, ruled that the government must allow Cohen’s legal team to review materials that the FBI seized from his office, home and hotel room last week. Wood ruled that Cohen’s legal team will see the materials before the federal prosecutors investigating Cohen are allowed access to them, according to multiple reports.

Well, that’s got to be a small relief. Other requests from Cohen and his team, however, didn’t have the outcome they’d hoped.

But she denied an attempt by Cohen and Trump to block prosecutors from reviewing the materials, and she did not make a final decision on whether she will appoint a neutral third party known as a “special master” to sift out privileged materials, as Cohen had sought.

Wood, in denying that particular request, noted the “impeachable integrity” of the Southern District U.S. Attorney’s office.

President Trump’s request to block the materials from being viewed was rejected, outright.

In an extraordinary move that pitted Trump against his own Department of Justice, a lawyer for the president filed an emergency motion Sunday night saying that he also objected to the “extraordinary measure.”

The Justice Department pushed back on the claims, arguing that Trump’s request to review the seized materials “erect an unprecedented and unwarranted obstacle to the government’s ability to investigate attorneys for their own conduct, in this case or any other.”

According to the government’s filing, Cohen is under investigation for “criminal conduct that largely centers on his personal business dealings” — reportedly bank fraud and violations of campaign finance law. A $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels is believed to be among the things the U.S. Attorney’s office is investigating.

Cohen’s troubles may very well become Trump’s troubles, considering Cohen was in the habit of recording conversations, and recent reports are that investigators have those recordings.

Let’s face it – Something has the president sweating.
