Loretta Lynch Hits Back At Clinton Campaign Over Their Attacks On The F.B.I. (VIDEO)

John Podesta, without any condemnation from Hillary Clinton, has been on an anti-F.B.I. streak since the election. Podesta wrote a long, rambling and sometimes incoherent op-ed in the Washington Post. He cited of all people, Roger Stone as a source and reiterated his call for the Obama administration to provide a security briefing for Clinton electors.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch is not taking kindly to Podesta’s attacks. In an interview that will air in its entirety on Sunday’s of ‘State of the Union’ on CNN. Here is a clip:

Some quotes:

“He’s not involved in the ongoing investigation so he wouldn’t be privy to everything that would have been done or said to that. But as I said, he’s entitled to his opinion,” Lynch said of Podesta. “I can tell you that this investigation was taken seriously from the beginning.”

Asked if she agreed with Podesta’s characterization that the FBI investigation had been sub-standard, Lynch said it could not be judged yet.

“First of all, the investigation isn’t even over. So I think it’s impossible to characterize it in any one way or the other,” she said. “Again, I don’t know where Mr. Podesta is obtaining information.”

He doesn’t have information. He has fantasies. He’s throwing crap against the wall and hoping it will stick.

Obama Says He Warned Russia About Hacking; Lindsey Graham Jeers Effort On Twitter

During his press conference on Friday, President Obama addressed the allegations the Russians attempted to influence the 2016 presidential election by hacking the DNC and John Podesta’s email account. Obama said nothing happens without the approval of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and remarked he told Putin to “cut it out” when the two met in China.

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham was not impressed. He tweeted the following in response to Obama’s remarks:

Graham even appeared to take a shot at former President George W. Bush with this tweet:

Graham is known for his advocacy of a tougher approach towards Russia. He favors Congressional hearings into the alleged hacking and has called for strong sanctions against Russia for a variety of reasons.

President Obama’s Final Press Conference: Live Stream and Open Thread

People on the fringes of the left and right think President Obama is going to put the kibosh on the niceties he has exchanged with President-elect Donald Trump since November 9th and basically rip him apart in this press conference.

It’s doubtful but the President is likely to get in a few passive-aggressive zingers.

Most questions are likely to revolve around national security (Russia) and foreign policy (Russia and Syria)

Comment away. It’s scheduled to start with 2:15 pm so we can all play “How long will the press conference be delayed due to President Obama being late?” 10 minutes? 20? 45?

With Their Recent Antics, Democrats Prove They Don’t Accept The Election Results

“To say you won’t respect the results of the election…that is a direct threat to our democracy!” These are the words of Hillary Clinton following the final debate between her and Donald Trump. During the debate, she said Trump’s signal that he wouldn’t immediately accept the results of the election was “horrifying.”

The op-ed pages of newspapers and magazines filled up with pieces describing Trump’s words as being disturbing, even dangerous. I wrote on these very pages that Trump was engaging in a dangerous game by signaling he wouldn’t accept the election results.

But then Trump won.

The same Democrats who were doing the finger-wagging were suddenly struck with a fever, and the prescription was not more cowbell. It was to call into question the results of the election. You see, since 1988, Democrats never “lost” a Presidential election. Republicans “stole” those wins. In 2000, it was the Supreme Court who saw to it that President George W. Bush was “selected, not elected.” In 2004, John Kerry, despite losing the popular vote and the electoral college refused to concede until the day after the election, citing “voting irregularities” in Ohio. Diebold was a familiar brand to people that year because Democrats were convinced the voting machines in Ohio were rigged to give Bush his 118,000 vote margin in the Buckeye State.

Fast forward to 2016 and not much has changed. Immediately after the election, Democrats began calling for an end to the electoral college. Pesky flyover states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Michigan were interfering with the more enlighted voices of voters in New York and California. Democrats denigrated states such as Montana and Wyoming for having the audacity to exist, thereby providing six electoral votes for Donald Trump.

Once that idea was lost like a fart in a wind storm, Jill Stein decided to rip off her supporters and start recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The Clinton campaign, out of sheer desperation, signed on. In the end, Donald Trump gained more than 100 votes in Wisconsin. Judges quickly put an end to recounts in Michigan and Pennsylvania, knowing they were a waste of time.

Democrats have settled on one last bit of strategery: Make a joke of the system by encouraging electors to vote for somebody other than Donald Trump, thereby forcing the House of Representatives to make the final arbiter of who won. The same people who wouldn’t know the meaning of the word ‘federalism,’ have suddenly become the biggest fans of ‘The Federalist Papers.’ The electoral college they peed on for weeks, is now their last stand. Democratic entertainers are creating videos begging electors to vote for somebody else other than Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton electors, with the blessing of Clinton flunky John Podesta, are demanding an intelligence briefing to understand how much of a role Russia played in the election results.

The Russian conspiracy is the one Democrats will be talking about a decade from now. Thanks to political players within the CIA, many Democrats have managed to convince themselves Russian hacking is responsible for Trump’s win. It doesn’t matter the FBI, and the DNI both disagree with political appointees at the CIA that Putin had a preference in the election. The likely aim of the Kremlin was was to cause chaos.

Thanks to Democrats and their goofy antics in the month following the election, it appears Vladimir Putin got his wish.

Ted Cruz’s Campaign Manager Groveling For A Role In The Trump Administration

Some people don’t care who they work for, just as long as they can take a higher step up in the echelon of politics. Jeff Roe, who was Ted Cruz’s campaign manager is seeking a job in the Trump administration. After all, if Ted Cruz can kiss and make up with Trump, why not Roe?

Jeff Roe, a prominent Republican Party strategist who managed Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign, has been seeking a job in the Trump administration – possibly as political director, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

Roe, a hard-charging, Missouri-based operative who has also worked for a number of congressional Republicans, was spotted in Trump Tower on Wednesday. Several of his friends said that in recent weeks he had expressed serious interest in joining Trump’s team, and two sources close to the transition said that Roe had embarked on an aggressive push for the political director job.

Does Trump go along with this? Difficult to say. There are plenty of people at their disposal who can step into this role. Also, Roe is still seen as the person who would head up Ted Cruz’s re-election campaign in 2018. Of course, if Cruz decided to challenge Trump in 2020, would Roe be willing to jump ship if he was serving in a Trump administration?

Media Ponders It’s Own ‘Guilt’ For Covering Leaked Emails During Election (You Know, Because SHE Lost)

Say the word ‘Wikileaks’ around some DC-based journalists, and they’ll probably develop a fast twitch. The Wikileaks Documents Dump of 2016 caused a lot of consternation among reporters and with good reason. The documents, whether they were DNC emails or John Podesta’s emails, all painted Hillary Clinton in a negative light.

It’s for this reason; some journalists are questioning whether or not media outlets should have covered the Wikileaks documents and struggled with how to cover them and to what degree. Elise Foley of The Huffington Post tweeted this yesterday:

What “whole thing?” Oh the Hillary Clinton losing thing, right? The quote from the NY Times is just as absurd:

Every major publication, including The Times, published multiple stories citing the D.N.C. and Podesta emails posted by WikiLeaks, becoming a de facto instrument of Russian intelligence.

In October, NPR’s ombudsman wrote a piece called, “How Should NPR Report On Hacked WikiLeaks Emails?”

Why is this even a question?

Their takeaway from 2016 is that they weren’t biased enough? The double standard is stunning. When Donald Trump’s tax return was leaked to the press at the end of September, did reporters ask themselves if they should be covering it? Was there any concern about the source of the tax return? Of course not. The mainstream media gleefully reported on the massive loss Trump incurred and struck up a debate over carry forward loss tax laws.

Journalists “raised concerns” with the Obama administration using The Espionage Act to prosecute dozens of people for leaking classified government information. The media sees them as “whistleblowers” while the Obama administration saw them as criminals. I don’t remember the press wondering aloud about their supposed responsibilities when coming into possession of information, obtained illegally.

Reporters are routinely the recipients of classified information, leaked grand jury information, confidential corporate information, trade secrets and more. Some of the biggest journalistic scoops over the last 50-60 years have come as the result of information that never should have seen the light of day, making it into the hands of a reporter.

One could make the case the information in the Podesta emails didn’t contain very revelatory information, but the leaked DNC emails proved what many people thought was going on: The DNC was coordinating with the Clinton campaign in an attempt to thwart Bernies Sanders upstart campaign. It was not insignificant news, leading to the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

If the situation were reversed and it was Republican National Committee coordinating with Marco Rubio, there’d be no hesitation on the part of the media to report it. None. It wouldn’t matter if Kim Jong-un were caught on film handing the documents to Julian Assange.

A reporter, no matter the medium, has a responsibility and duty to get to the truth. If they want to wallow in self-reflection after and in private, they can do so. Until that time, they should their job and not concern themselves with how it might affect the candidate of their choice.

Hollywood Bozos Discover A Love of Federalism Over The Electoral College (VIDEO)

Leave it to the election of Donald Trump as President for the left to embrace federalism. An organization called ‘Unite For America’ has put out a video featuring a host of Hollywood actors and actresses, most notably, Martin Sheen.

In the video, the various actors are imploring electors who are slated to vote for Donald Trump to change their vote. They claim they’re not asking people to vote for Hillary Clinton. But if not, then what’s the point? If 37 electors change their vote and Donald Trump gets 269 electoral votes, it would then go to the House of Representatives, and there is no way the Republican-controlled House chooses anybody other than Donald Trump.

Here is the video:

Did you get that? You have the respect of a bunch of douchebags who are masking their liberal tears over Hillary’s defeat by touting federalism, the Constitution, and patriotism.

You can almost see the condescension in their eyes. “You dummies did this to us and can change it before it’s too late!”

The worst part, are Hillary Clinton supporters arguing fitness for office as a reason for an elector casting a vote for somebody else. Hillary Clinton, the first Presidential candidate in history to be under FBI investigation while running for office was not fit for the presidency.

But I doubt we’ll any videos explaining that.

Emoji Wars! The Reason Twitter Was Not At Trump’s Tech Meeting

When this meeting was announced, it was odd to see Twitter wasn’t going to be there. After all, Donald Trump utilized Twitter as a platform like no other candidate. He still does. It’s his preferred method of communication. So why wasn’t Twitter there today?

Emojis.

No, really:

Twitter was told it was “bounced” from Wednesday’s meeting between tech executives and President-elect Donald Trump in retribution for refusing during the campaign to allow an emoji version of the hashtag #CrookedHillary, according to a source close to the situation.

The incident at issue was detailed in a Medium post last month by Gary Coby, director of digital advertising and fundraising for the Trump campaign. According to Coby, Dorsey personally intervened to block the Trump operation from deploying — as part of a $5 million deal between the social media company and the campaign — an emoji showing, in various renderings, small bags of money being given away or stolen. That emoji would have been offered to users as a replacement for the hashtag #CrookedHillary, a preferred Trump insult for his Democratic opponent.

“We told them it was BS and what they were doing with a public platform was incredibly reckless and dangerous,” wrote Coby of the back-and-forth between the Trump operation and Twitter.

According to the source, RNC spokesman Sean Spicer, who is an adviser to the Trump transition, made the call to refuse an invitation to Dorsey or other Twitter executives to the meeting, which was organized by Silicon Valley investor and Facebook board member Peter Thiel, who has been an adviser to Trump.

It’s funny, but at the same time, this kind of pettiness would make anybody nervous. If Twitter gets shut out of a tech meeting because they didn’t make an emoji to go along with a hashtag, what does this mean for other business leaders Trump believes slighted him at some point?

I can’t say I blame Trump for being upset over Dorsey stepping in the way he did, but if Trump wanted to get a little revenge, it likely would have been better to invite Dorsey to the meeting and then dress him down a bit in front of the others.

Hillary lost. There’s no need to continue to lock Twitter out of these events once Trump is President.
