Tucker Carlson SAVAGED CNN President Jeff Zucker Over His Claim that Fox News is State-Run Media

CNN President Jeff Zucker sat on a stage in New York City where he proceeded to call Fox News a “state-run” news network that pushes “propaganda” to the masses.

As I wrote in detail on Thursday, this is a pretty hysterical claim, seeing as how CNN is a network rife with leftist propaganda, as evidenced by the ridiculous antics it gets up to against anything right-leaning, including their Parkland “town hall” and their blatant lie about Ted Cruz refusing to appear on their network after the shooting.

But Tucker Carlson also addressed Zucker’s claim during his show on Thursday night and with some very devastating revelations. As it turns out, CNN and Zucker are far more guilty of being “state-run” “propaganda” machine than Fox News could ever dream to be.

As it turns out, Zucker and CNN are in bed with the Turkish government to the extent that CNN is literally the state run media channel in Turkey, obeying Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s command.

Not only did CNN Turk, the Turkish branch of CNN, blame an American professor for attempting to stage a failed coup against Erdogan, with zero evidence to back up this claim. According to Carlson, this is just one of the many anti-American conspiracy claims that CNN helps to circulate from its Turkish network.

As Carlson explains, sometimes Zucker’s network helps out by not reporting the news at all. This is evidenced by the fact that in 2013, 8,000 pro-Democracy protesters were injured protesting Erdogan’s government. Instead of CNN covering the injured protesters fighting for freedom, Zucker’s Turkish CNN branch aired a documentary on penguins instead.

Zucker and CNN are more than just liars, they’re actively supporting an oppressive government by reporting only what that oppressive government deems necessary to report.

And Zucker calls Fox News propagandist and “state-run.” That’s rich.

BREAKING: Trump Openly Considers Trashing Omnibus Spending Bill With a Veto

Friday morning, President Donald Trump tweeted out that he is considering vetoing the Omnibus spending bill passed on Thursday due to lack of attention to DACA recipients and lack of funding and no mention of the border wall.

“I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded,” tweeted Trump.

While Trump slams the Democrats for “abandoning” DACA recipients that the left had shut down the government for in February, he’s likely more upset over the fact that Republicans had only managed to secure him $641 million in funding for the border wall. This would only grant 33 miles of new border security. Less than half of what the President has asked for.

This news might come as welcome to many Republicans who hated the Omnibus spending bill, including Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky) who said he would vote no on a 2000-plus page bill he was only given hours to read. He had spent the day trying to read through the bill, and posting what he found to the public.

Paul finished with attempting to find a silver lining in the public’s knowledge of what the bill contains.

It would seem that Trump, as well as the American people, are not too happy about what was discovered in it.

Dick’s Sporting Goods Isn’t Doing So Hot, and Their CEO Isn’t Helping

Not long ago, Dick’s Sporting Goods decided to jump on the virtue signal bandwagon and announce that it would no longer be selling AR-15’s out of its stores.

It was soon discovered how much of a virtue signal the move was, as America discovered that Dick’s only sells the guns out of their “Field and Stream” locations, and there are only a handful of those across the U.S. The sale of AR-15’s hardly made a blip on the radar in terms of profit.

So Dick’s was making no great sacrifice, and the gesture seemed even more hollow than before. The public backlash was pretty immediate, with one gun seller writing a statement that made the CEO Edward Stack look like the ignorant clown he was.

The entire episode hurt Dick’s, not just in reputation, but in the bank account too.

Stack told CNN that he knew the move would cause customers to close their wallets to the store for good.

“There’s going to be some push-back and we expected that. There are going to be the people who don’t shop us anymore for anything,” he told CNN, and later added that the move was “not going to be positive from a traffic standpoint and a sales standpoint.”

He was correct, but I’m not sure he anticipated how correct he would be, and now Dick’s is suffering “deeper than expected” losses according to Forbes.

Shares of Dick’s fell as much as 7.3 percent to $30.19 in New York, the biggest intraday decline since mid-November. They had climbed 13 percent this year through Monday’s close.

Instead of attempting to at least plug some of the leaks on the good ship Dick’s, the CEO has decided to double down on his stances and pen an op-ed for the Washington Post wherein he attempts to paint the nation as having a gun problem, a fruitless congress:

As a gun owner, I support the Second Amendment and understand why, for many, the right to bear arms is as American as baseball and apple pie. But I also agree with what Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia wrote in his majority opinion in 2008’s landmark Heller case: ‘Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited.’ It is ‘not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.’

It is clear we have a problem with the gun laws in this country. They are not squarely focused on keeping all of us safe — especially our children. There continue to be mass shootings — at our schools, churches and entertainment venues. Following each of these senseless, tragic events there’s a great deal of idle, fruitless talk in the halls of Congress, and then the conversation quickly comes to an end.

First off, America has no gun problem. Not only are these mass shootings rarer than the media likes to make them out to be, they’re on the decline. Secondly, we have all the laws in place we can reasonably have to prevent mass shootings from occurring. The problems that led to the Parkland shooting can be placed, not on the NRA, the gun, or right-leaning politicians, but on the law enforcement agencies who did not do their jobs.

As has been repeated ad nauseam, the Broward County Sheriff’s Dept., as well as the FBI, had this kid on their radar for ages with all sorts of reasons to deem him mentally unfit to hold so much as a blade of grass. Yet they sat on their hands, and continued to sit on them just outside the school as the shooter took 17 innocent lives.

I don’t see Stack mention any of this, but he does push for people on the no-fly list — a list proven to be wholly inaccurate and likely unconstitutional — should also not be allowed to have guns. He’s also patted the heads of the “kids in Florida” taking a stand against this gun problem, just in case you were curious as to where he stood on the upcoming March for Our Lives.

It remains to be seen how badly Stack’s attitudes toward America’s gun rights affect the sales of his sporting goods store, but I for one won’t be caught dead there.

Study: School Shootings Are Actually Rare and Declining

The media has a way of taking an atrocity and making it seem like our world has come down with a serious case of it.

After each shooting, the media dedicates untold amounts of attention to shootings past, present, and future. You’d be forgiven for believing the United States is soaked in the blood of the victims of mass shootings, specifically in schools.

In fact, anti-gun organization Everytown likes to throw up scary numbers about 18 school shootings having occurred this year. Including Maryland, we can bring their count up to 19, but the real number is actually four. Of course, that’s four too many, but the way Everytown tells it, anytime a live round is shot off inside or near a school campus, regardless of the context or outcome, it’s a school shooting. This may include something along the lines of a man committing suicide in the parking lot of a closed down elementary school.

According to a new study from the Heritage Foundation, the hysterics over the number of school shootings handed to us by the media aren’t half as bad as they portray it. Furthermore, they are rarer now than they were in the 9o’s:

Statistically speaking, however, such events are still highly infrequent. In particular, shootings during normal classroom hours that result in injuries or death are incredibly rare in America’s primary and secondary schools. Out of the more than 55 million K–12 students across the nation’s public and private schools, an average of 10 students are killed every year by gunfire at school.

To put this number perspective, over 800 students die every year during regular travel to and from school.

Even rarer on K–12 campuses are the types of high-profile, multiple-casualty shooting rampages characterized by names like Columbine, Sandy Hook, and Parkland. Since 1990, America’s 100,000 public primary and secondary schools have experienced 22 on-campus shootings that resulted in two or more fatalities (excluding the shooter), for an average of less than one multiple-fatality shooting per year.

Most of these multiple-fatality shootings were not “Columbine-style” mass shootings: Of the 22 incidents since 1990, only nine involved the deaths of four or more people. Since 2000, there have been 17 shootings at K–12 schools that resulted in two or more injuries.

The deaths, though lower in number than the media would let on, are still horrific. However, as Heritage notes, schools are still statistically the safest place for kids to be, despite the fact that they spend a good deal of their time there:

Less than 3 percent of all youth homicides occur on a school campus, even though it is where youths spend a large portion of their time.

Since 1992, when the NCES began to compile data on school-related violent deaths, the highest number of on-campus student homicides at K–12 schools in a single school year has been 34, which occurred during the 1992–1993 and 1997–1998 school years. During the 2013–2014 school year, the NCES concluded that there was approximately one student homicide or suicide at school for every 2.8 million enrolled students. Meanwhile, an average of 50 children ages 7 to 18 are murdered by their parents every year.

Despite their statistical safety, we shouldn’t rest in our attempts to make them safer. However, the approach taken by anti-gun activist groups and politicians will help nothing. What has proven to help is the inclusion of guns, and officers willing to use them. The latest attempt at a mass school shooting in Maryland being stopped in its tracks by an armed resource officer is the latest proof of that.

Ben Shapiro Wrecks a Study that Tries to Prove Sex Change Surgery Doesn’t Increase Chances of Suicide

Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro has long been a guy who has had the ire of the transgender community for his very blunt and factual way of speaking out about it. So much so that he was threatened with physical harm live on air by transgender man (identifying as a woman) Bob Tur, who now goes by Zoey Tur.

It’s often a subject he’s confronted with, and was so again during his Q&A segment at Susquehanna University. This time, the questioner was the president of the University’s College Democrats himself (xerself?), who attempted to confront Shapiro about a study that claimed transgendered individuals who underwent sex change operations were not subject to increased chances of suicide.

Just to give you a heads up, trans individuals who undergo the surgery are 19 times more likely to kill themselves post-op.

According to the college’s Democrat group president, he found a study that showed the surgery actually lowered it.

“Well, during your speech I pulled up a study on my phone as well as a bevy of other studies, looking at research from the Karolinska Institute, from Berlin scientists that actually seems to suggest, specifically the Berlin study, that suicide attempt rates drop from 26% to 3% in post-op,” he said.

But Shapiro pointed out a massive flaw in the study according to Daily Wire:

Right. So I’ve seen that study also. One of the problems with that particular study is that it’s not longitudinal. That study is only about, like one year after the surgery. What the statistics tend to show, at least according to scientists on the other side, is that you have to wait ten years to find out whether the surgery “takes” or not, essentially, that there is an adjustment period, that of course you’re really enthused in the year after you get a surgery that you feel you’ve been needing your entire life, but there’s a readjustment period that happens. So, for example, here’s another longitudinal; study; it’s a Cohort study from Sweden. It was released in 2011; it covered sex reassignment surgeries from 1973 to 2003, so it was a thirty-year longitudinal study, and it found that transgender surgery recipients were still nineteen times more likely to die by suicide than the general population, and it found that “sex reassignment, although alleviating gender dysphoria, may not suffice as treatment for transsexualism.” As I say, there is mixed data; I’m not saying those studies don’t exist; I’m saying I do find severe flaws in some of the studies that are cited. A lot of them are cited due to small sample size or not enough time in the longitudinal.

Tl;Dr: The study the college Democrat president cited only covered the reactions to the surgery for a short time frame afterward.

To put it into perspective, it’s like asking someone who got a new car how much they like it. They’re going to be pretty loving toward their brand new vehicle with all its new bells and whistles, and engine health. However, the car may start to wear and tear worse than others after a short time, and soon you may find the owner not as happy as he was when he got it originally.

A transgendered individual who gets the sex change surgery may love their new body at first, but they still haven’t solved the problem that drove them there in the first place. The transsexualism that plagues them is still wearing on them, and the surgery typically worsens them for the wear.

Shapiro continues to the conversation by also correcting the assumption that self-reported studies are also flawed, and not very trustworthy. Watch below.

The facts remain that transgenderism, despite its modern day hype, is still a disorder that carries with it an incredibly high suicide rate of
over 40 percent.

It would be wiser as a society to attempt to find a way to help people who suffer from gender dysphoria, than encourage them to indulge in a mental health problem that has a high chances of killing them.

Californians are Abandoning Ship and Fleeing for The Greener Pastures of Red States Like Texas

Open for business!

As it turns out, Americans don’t want to be highly taxed, crime ridden, and regulated to hell and back.

Not too long ago I reported on some very revealing numbers that showed that blue states were losing American citizens by the hundreds of thousands as they bid adieu to their Smurf-blue states and Smurffed off to better run places like Texas where the taxes are low and the BBQ is far superior to everywhere else. Don’t “@” me.

But as NBC News points out, the U.S. Census Bureau data, from July 2016 to July 2017, shows just where Californians in particular are going. Needless to say, they’re overwhelmingly red states with Texas being the winner…as usual:

During that 12-month period, California saw a net loss of just over 138,000 people, while Texas had a net increase of more than 79,000 people. Arizona gained more than 63,000 residents, and Nevada gained more than 38,000.

The reason they’re moving? Easy. It costs less:

“You can literally have a lot of buying power for the dollar in Southern Nevada versus Southern California,” said Christopher Bishop, president of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. “So it has been a major trend over the year, year and a half, and we’re seeing it increase.”

Bishop said some people who work for Silicon Valley companies are even working remotely from home in Las Vegas to avoid the higher housing costs in California. But he added, “Most of the people are here because of our growing job market and industries in Las Vegas — and it’s not all about casinos anymore.”

The lesson to take away is that stringent regulations and higher taxes force the prices of living to skyrocket. Rent prices alone would give most of America a reason to stay as far away from California as humanly possible:

The median monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the Los Angeles area is $2,249, and in San Francisco it’s almost $3,400, according to Zumper. The median rent for a two-bedroom apartment in the Los Angeles area is $3,200 and in San Francisco about $4,500. By comparison, the median rent for a one-bedroom in Las Vegas is $925 and in Phoenix $945, and for a two-bedroom in Las Vegas $1,122 and in Phoenix $1,137.

Why struggle to make rent in California when you can live like a king in Texas with the same amount of space, or maybe more?

Furthermore, businesses are consistently moving to states like Texas, bringing the jobs with them. Burdensome regulation for many businesses means you can only reach a certain height. A business friendly atmosphere opens up a lot of opportunities, however. With a hop, skip, and a jump, many who are trying to grow their bottom line will find themselves keeping a lot more of what they earn the redder the voting bloc gets.

Lower taxes equals a better life. It’s as simple as that.

Broadway Stars Are Getting Together to Inadvertently Make You Go Buy a Gun Right Now

Broadway goes bland for gun control.

Remember the good ol’ days when Barack Obama would so much as glance at a gun and the American people would run as fast as they could to their nearest FFL dealer to purchase whatever gun caught their fancy? People would do this for a few reasons, but chief among them was the fear that Obama was going to attempt to illegalize or restrict firearms in some way shape or form.

But now we might see something of a revisit to the days of yore. This time, however, we’ll be purchasing our guns out of pure spite, and possibly in the name of a better future for pop-culture.

Broadway stars Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) and Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hanson) have united to create an anthem for the upcoming “student-led” March for Our Lives set to occur this coming Saturday.

“In the wake of Parkland, I was awestruck by the strength and leadership of the students and their ability to speak truth to power. In the midst of their grief, they mobilized the youth of our nation and created a movement. This is their moment. Not just for themselves, but for all of us,” Miranda said in a statement according to E! News. “This song is my way of helping to raise funds and awareness for their efforts, and to say Thank You, and that we are with you so let’s keep fighting, together.”

“Better gun control is something that all Americans should be passionate about,” Platt added. “These students are paving the way for future generations and it’s so inspiring to see young people standing up for what is probably the most important cause right now in this country, and demanding action. I hope that this song can play some small part in bringing about real change.”

According to E! News, the song made Parkland student activist Cameron Kasky “tear up.”

Sadly — and this is with me attempting to remove all bias for the reason behind the creation of the song — this “anthem” for the march is just bad.

The song is a sappy, unorganized mess of platitudes about being lost and found, having friends to carry you, and how those who marched will be telling their kids and grandkids about it. It’s hard not to be bored about midway through the tune.

“Even when the dark comes crashing through when you need a friend to carry you and when you’re broken on the ground—you will be found. So let the sun come streaming in, cause you’ll reach up and you’ll rise again. If you only look around–you will be found,” sing the duo.

What’s worse is that the video is filled with footage of Platt and Miranda singing, while those who are helping create the song are seen smiling at each other, hugging, playing instruments, and taking selfies. The video even ends by displaying a hashtag “#IWILLMARCH.”

The entire thing seems painfully corny, not because there’s so much happiness and lyrics that are more tired than a mother of five, but because the entire display seems so shallow. The intent behind the song is to make a propagandistic event seem more loving and even grand. It’s not. It’s an astroturfed event put together by a who’s who list of high-profile leftist organizations using kids as a sword, shield, and photo-op for their intersectional causes.

Watch this in the same way you’d watch a train wreck because they’re pretty similar.

As I said earlier, the video is so cheesy and try-hard that it literally made me want to do the exact opposite of the march’s intent. I don’t want to swear off guns, or remotely change my outlook on them.

In fact, it’s this culture critic’s personal opinion that we should go out and buy a gun just to teach the anti-gun crowd that releasing propagandistic tripe like this has consequences. Only then may we be safe from any more sappy songs from celebrities trying to get us to care about something we probably don’t want to get behind in the first place.

The future of our culture may depend on you going out and buying a firearm, people.

YouTube’s New Polices Punish Pro-Firearm Channels Who are In Turn Moving Content to an Unexpected Site

YouTube has increased its crackdown on all things remotely offensive to the more sensitive among us by seeing to it that gun-related content is heavily restricted.

Google/YouTube’s crazy-train to the hard left has been chugging along furiously, punishing content that disagrees with their left-leaning sensibilities while allowing videos that do promote racism, bigotry, etc, to remain healthily monetized and even featured.

In summary, if your videos or channel features content related to firearm sales, instructions on how to build a firearm or feature content on how to install accessories, you’re cooked according to YouTube’s TOS:

YouTube prohibits certain kinds of content featuring firearms. Specifically, we don’t allow content that:

  • Intends to sell firearms or certain firearms accessories through direct sales (e.g., private sales by individuals) or links to sites that sell these items. These accessories include but may not be limited to accessories that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire or convert a firearm to automatic fire (e.g., bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, conversion kits), and high capacity magazines (i.e., magazines or belts carrying more than 30 rounds).

  • Provides instructions on manufacturing a firearm, ammunition, high capacity magazine, homemade silencers/suppressors, or certain firearms accessories such as those listed above. This also includes instructions on how to convert a firearm to automatic or simulated automatic firing capabilities.

  • Shows users how to install the above-mentioned accessories or modifications.

As first reported by The Federalist, channels are already being hit with content censorship, demonetization, and channel suspension. Spike Tactical posted to their Facebook page that their channel has already been suspended by YouTube for its content.

Strangely, some firearm YouTube channels are packing up shop and moving to the last place you might expect to find them.

Gun channel “InRangeTV” has moved their videos to the video/social media platform of PornHub.

While this seems like an odd choice, the Reddit user who noticed the In Range’s move to the top network of nudity might have done so, not as a prank or joke, but a well thought out strategy of putting content in a place where free speech is — for all intents and purposes — an important part of the site.

“[If I recall correctly], PornHub is owned by a Luxembourg based company called MindGeek which has a massive content delivery network for rather obvious reasons,” noted Reddit user AntifaArePathetic. “I’d hope that the company hosting probably 95% of streaming porn to the WWW in all sorts of fetishes would have a hard line on free speech/censorship.”

It’s highly doubtful that a site dedicated to pornography would allow a sudden surge of content from users who have no intention of uploading anything short of pornography, however, if AntifaArePathetic’s comments about the parent company “MindGeek” are accurate, then this may spark the company to begin its own video uploading and streaming service that could rival YouTube.

Oddly, MindGeek’s sites are host to some of the internet’s most visited sites — some for less than reputable reasons — and the company has racked up a bit of a positive reputation among the internet’s denizens. Creating a video content platform where free speech would reign without worry of censorship or political favoritism could strike a serious blow to YouTube’s hard left leaning platform.

Time will tell what happens, and this development may continue to get way more interesting than anyone anticipated.

John Oliver Sends Rabid Trolls After Mike Pence’s Daughter for Writing a Children’s Book, but She Has the Last Laugh

The left hates Donald Trump with the passion of a thousand burning suns, but I’m pretty convinced that they hate Vice President Mike Pence with a loathing that goes somewhat deeper.

While Trump makes being hated by the left look easy by tweeting, saying, and doing infuriating things, all Pence has to do is stand there. He’s your typical mild-mannered, white, male, Christian, patriotic American and there is absolutely nothing the left hates more than that. Celebrities and Olympians alike go out of their way to insult Pence, even to the point of insulting innocent bystanders in the process. His mere existence drives them insane.

In fact, they hate Pence so much that they’re willing to go after his innocent family members who did nothing except be related to Pence. This includes his daughter, Charlotte Pence.

Charlotte recently released a children’s book in collaboration with her mom, Karen Pence, who contributed illustrations called Marlon Bundo’s Day in the Life of the Vice President. The book revolves around a tour of the White House from the perspective of the Pence family’s pet rabbit, Marlon Bundo. It’s completely a-political with zero opinion, or commentary involved. It’s just an innocent children’s book that gives kids a look into the White House.

Enter John Oliver, who apparently can’t stand the idea of the Pences having any kind of happiness or success, no matter how innocent.

Oliver decided to go on a rant about how Mike Pence hates gay people (Narrator: “He doesn’t“) and announced the release of his own book called “A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo,” where the Pence family bunny is gay and falls in love with another rabbit named Wesley. VP Pence even makes an appearance as the bad guy, going by the name “Stink Bug,” who forbids the marriage of Bundo and Wesley.

Oliver’s attack on Pence’s daughter’s book is, frankly, kind of lazy. His hate for Pence is so great that he and his team created something that reminds me of an elementary school insult, and thought it was funny enough that to be fit for release.

“Nice book, stupidhead! Your bunny is gay, and your dad is a stink bug!”

The only saving grace here is that Oliver announced that proceeds from his book will go to support an AIDS charity.

It’s a bad enough look to go after Pence’s daughter, but when the best your team of comedy writers on a major cable news show can come up with is something I could have asked my neighbor’s 10-year-old kid to do for free, then it’s time to renegotiate salaries.

If the story ended there, I’d write Oliver’s cringey attempt off as just one more shrug-worthy attack on Pence, but sadly it doesn’t.

Oliver’s fans decided to take a trip to Amazon to leave one-star reviews on the book, and populate the reviews with nasty messages about Pence. Amazon itself had to step in and stem the tide of awfulness that dominates the page, deleting the vast majority of the “reviews” but some of them still remain.

Ben Shapiro also managed to screenshot a few before Amazon removed them.

This, ladies and gentleman, is the superb way in which the left brings us all together.

The Pences have already responded — namely, Charlotte has — to Oliver’s nastiness. As a Pence will do, her response was filled with nothing but class, and even cheered on his book for the purposes of charity.

Well done, Charlotte. You just clowned the clowns.

Katy Perry Proves There’s a Sexist Double Standard With an Unwanted, #MeToo Worthy Kiss

If you’re a 19-year-old kid looking forward to his first kiss with a woman he loves and cares about that’s admirable. Apparently, if you’re in the presence of Katy Perry, however, you don’t get the option to hold out. She’s going to be your first kiss whether you like it or not.

As you’ll see in the video below, Benjamin Glaze was about to try out for a spot to be the next American Idol. During the part of the tryout where the judges get to know the performer, Glaze mentioned that he had never kissed a girl before. The teen mentioned that the reason he’d never locked lips with anyone is because he was waiting for the right girl to come along.

This is extraordinary in the world of today’s first world, where holding out that long is looked at pretty negatively by mainstream standards. However, Perry demanded he come up and give her a kiss. Glaze agreed to give her a kiss on the cheek. After that, Perry insisted he try again, and when Glaze went in for the kiss, she turned her head at the last second, giving him a smooch on the lips.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way here. If Perry were a 33 year old man, and Glaze a 19 year old female, Perry would be hauled off the set and told never to return. Article on article would be written about Perry’s disgusting advancement on a pure, innocent girl, and taking something from her that she cherished. Hashtags would boot up, and the #MeToo movement would find new life.

But that won’t happen. Perry is a woman, and taking away something a boy cherished was apparently something the network thought to celebrate. Her co-hosts cheered, and the moment was even put up on YouTube — a massive supporter of social justice causes — by the American Idol YouTube account.

And apparently, Glaze is none too happy about the fact that his first kiss was taken from him.

“I was a tad bit uncomfortable,” Glaze told the New York Times. “I wanted to save it for my first relationship,” he said. “I wanted it to be special.”

“Would I have done it if she said, ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no,” he said. “I know a lot of guys would be like, ‘Heck yeah!’ But for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately. I wanted my first kiss to be special.”

This entire scene irks me, because there are several things here that strike me as wrong.

The obvious double-standard of sexual harassment aside, Perry thought she was entitled to his first kiss. Something he had said was special to him before she took it. She thought herself important enough to just steal it via trickery, then literally celebrate herself doing it afterward.

Then the move was celebrated, not just by Perry and her co-hosts, but by the network and the show who proudly display it on social media.

This kid just got a taste of Hollywood entitlement, not just in terms of ideas and things, but of his own body. I sincerely hope Perry apologizes to not only this kid, but for her part in contributing to an already massive problem Hollywood has when it comes to keeping parts of your body to yourself.

And then I hope people understand that if it’s not right for one group, it’s not right for the other.
