U.S. Military Reports Alert Status in Light of Tense North Korea Summit Situation

On Thursday, the U.S. military reported it had not increased its already-high level of alert toward North Korea after President Trump cancelled the much-hailed June 12th summit due to Kim Jong-un’s currently threatening posture.

In a morning letter sent to Trump by North Korean Foreign Ministry Vice Minister — and longtime nuclear negotiator — Choe Son Hui, hostility ran rampant, with the asian country calling Mike Pence a “dummy” and heaving a doozy of a threat:

“Whether the US will meet us at a meeting room or encounter us at nuclear-to-nuclear showdown is entirely dependent upon the decision and behavior of the United States.”

Of course, the media prefer instead to print Trump’s letter, calling his decision “bad timing” or “dangerous.” But the reality is, if you’re truly a master of the art of the deal, you don’t meet with someone who threatens to disintegrate you.

Speaking of extermination, the U.S. has its own nuclear mojo and, according to Lieutenant General Kenneth McKenzie, it’s all primed:

“There is a high state of vigilance – the state of vigilance that we always have because [North Korea has] proven to be unpredictable in the past. But it is not a heightened state of vigilance. It is the normal state of vigilance that we maintain.”

In the meantime, government intelligence is trying to assess the validity of Kim’s claim they blew up tunnels at their main nuclear test site, symbolizing a willingness to at least diminish their nuclear program.

Of course, one can hardly trust that they’re downgrading, as they threaten us with a “showdown.”

And so, we’re ready. And waiting. McKenzie explains:

“We’ll see what develops over the next few days, if any provocative actions occur from [North Korea], we will certainly, in concert with our allies and partners in the region, be ready for it.”

And check out some earlier Trump-Kim showdown drama here.

Also, if you’re up for it, read North Korea’s letter in its entirety below:

At an interview with Fox News on May 21, US Vice-President Pence made unbridled and impudent remarks that North Korea might end like Libya, military option for North Korea never came off the table, the US needs complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation, and so on.
As a person involved in the US affairs, I cannot suppress my surprise at such ignorant and stupid remarks gushing out from the mouth of the US vice-president.

If he is vice-president of “single superpower” as is in name, it will be proper for him to know even a little bit about the current state of global affairs and to sense to a certain degree the trends in dialogue and the climate of détente.
We could surmise more than enough what a political dummy he is as he is trying to compare the DPRK, a nuclear weapon state, to Libya that had simply installed a few items of equipment and fiddled around with them.

Soon after the White House National Security Adviser Bolton made the reckless remarks, Vice-President Pence has again spat out nonsense that the DPRK would follow in Libya’s footstep.

It is to be underlined, however, that in order not to follow in Libya’s footstep, we paid a heavy price to build up our powerful and reliable strength that can defend ourselves and safeguard peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the region.

In view of the remarks of the US high-ranking politicians who have not yet woken up to this stark reality and compare the DPRK to Libya that met a tragic fate, I come to think that they know too little about us.

To borrow their words, we can also make the US taste an appalling tragedy it has neither experienced nor even imagined up to now.

Before making such reckless threatening remarks without knowing exactly who he is facing, Pence should have seriously considered the terrible consequences of his words.

It is the US who has asked for dialogue, but now it is misleading the public opinion as if we have invited them to sit with us.

I only wonder what is the ulterior motive behind its move and what is it the US has calculated to gain from that.

We will neither beg the US for dialogue nor take the trouble to persuade them if they do not want to sit together with us.

Whether the US will meet us at a meeting room or encounter us at nuclear-to-nuclear showdown is entirely dependent upon the decision and behavior of the United States.

In case the US offends against our goodwill and clings to unlawful and outrageous acts, I will put forward a suggestion to our supreme leadership for reconsidering the DPRK-US summit.

To Pelosi’s Horror, DOJ Meets with GOP, Plus These Two Surprise Guests

On Thursday, Justice Department officials met with top Republicans to discuss documents related to what President Trump has called “SPYGATE” — the alleged attempt of FBI infiltration into his 2016 presidential campaign.

As reported previously, Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, had denounced the meeting as super crappy and even crappier that they couldn’t come.

Didn’t expect the words “super crappy,” did you?

Keep comin’ back; I’ll try to keep it interesting.

Anyway, so the meeting went down in spite of Nancy Pelosi’s objections.

She really shouldn’t be so dour. She predicted the literal end of the world if the Republican tax bill passed. She should just be thankful we’re all still here.

But she ain’t.

Didn’t expect “ain’t” either, did you?

Moving on, there were two surprise guests at the meeting. In addition to House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, and Rep. Trey Gowdy, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Trump Attorney Emmet Flood attended.

Eat their dust, Pelosi.

According to a statement from the Trump camp, Flood and Kelly made remarks at the opening of the meeting to “relay the President’s desire for as much openness as possible.”

Reportedly, the two then left.

The meeting is a big deal, because:

Thursday’s convening — and the premise upon which it’s based — marks an important turn in the Russia collusion investigation, for once positioning Trump as protagonist rather than villain. Amid the controversy, he’s taking to Twitter to lambast the FBI for either planting or trying to turn an informant within his campaign team.

Having recovered from Armageddon, Pelosi now sees the meeting as the worst thing:

“Never has there been anything so disrespectful of the Congress than what they’re doing today.”

#perspective

The DOJ later briefed the bipartisan “Gang of Eight,” for which Pelosi was absent. Kelly and Flood also crashed that party, prompting ire from Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.:

“There’s never been a Gang of Eight meeting with that kind of White House presence.”

Stay tuned for more in the ongoing saga. In the meantime, get more backstory here and here.

Yahoo Sports Calls Trump Pardoning a Black Person ‘Ironic’

The left-wing, mainstream media just don’t get it.

To them, it seems, the whole world — including their readers and viewers — is comprised solely of Trump-hating liberals. And in the shadows, like werewolves and vampires, Republicans lurk.

And why do I say monsters? Because we all know what a werewolf is. We’ve all heard of vampires. We know what those words mean. But really, when it comes down to it, we don’t actually believe they exist.

Therefore, the media writes, and speaks, for the world. You know — the real people. The left-wingers. Everything else is just the boogey man. It somehow elected Donald Trump, but we don’t know how.

Therefore, coverage of Trump’s pardoning of black heavyweight champion Jack Johnson — who was convicted by an all-white jury in 1913 of transporting a woman across state lines for “immoral purposes,” was effortless in its reference to Trump as what we all know he is: a raging racist.

As President Trump removed the felonious blight from Johnson’s record, Yahoo Sports called the act “ironic.” Not to mention “as welcome as it was unexpected.”

Because, ya know, Trump hates black people.

And yet, he did what Obama did not. Two years ago, 2009-2015’s Attorney General Eric Holder told WPIX in New York:

“Jack Johnson no question was convicted unfairly. That might be a historical injustice that might need to be rethought.”

Nevertheless, Holder said, domestic abuse accusations against Johnson made pardoning him difficult.

Unproven allegations of one crime prevent the exoneration of another someone didn’t commit?

To Holder, yes. Where was the media outrage?

It was nowhere, just as vitriol for Trump is everywhere. Consider the opening line of the article:

“There is a particular irony in the fact that it took President Donald Trump, hardly a champion of rights for African-Americans and other racial minorities, to be the one who pardoned former heavyweight champion Jack Johnson.”

Nice.

“Hardly a champion.”

And to the Left, surely, this pardon changes nothing about the President.

Nor does it about you, the reader. Do you hate Trump? To the media, you are Trump. Only you’re invisible, no doubt hiding in your cape, waiting to howl at the moon when no one’s around.

You are hardly a champion of rights for black people. Because you are conservative. And the news isn’t written for you. The news, rather, has written you off.

Meanwhile, Obama pardoned:

Nevertheless, carry on,  monsters.

Morgan Freeman Responds to Sexual Harassment Allegations

Morgan Freeman has responded to allegations of sexual misconduct.

As reported by Susie Moore earlier today, Morgan Freeman has been accused by eight women of impropriety on sets and promotional tours over a span of several years.

One such woman claims Freeman harassed her in the summer of 2015, while filming the comedy Going in Style. According to the production assistant, he repeatedly trouched her inappropriately on her back and made frequent comments about her looks. Furthermore, she says, he continuously attempted to lift her skirt, perpetually asking if she was wearing underwear.

The woman told CNN Freeman’s fellow actor, Alan Arkin, “made a comment telling him to stop.”

“Morgan got freaked out and didn’t know what to say,” she said.

In a statement, the man who played God in 2003’s Bruce Almighty apologized:

“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”

Additionally, a senior production member of 2012’s Now You See Me offered this:

“He did comment on our bodies. … We knew that if he was coming by…not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted.”

In all, sixteen people have corroborated Freeman’s tendencies.

Is there any doubt that stories such as this could be told about virtually every man in Hollywood? Until the news cycle discards these tales of rich and famous men taking full advantage of their privilege, surely many a male celebrity will be shaking in his boots, wondering if he’s next in the lottery of worldwide exposure.

Are you sick of these reports? Is “Men Are Notoriously Sexually Motivated and/or Sleazy” a tired story? Or do you hope all continues to be brought to light?

Poll: Gun Control Support Changing in the Aftermath of Parkland — Here’s How

According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, support for gun control is already waning three months after the Parkland, Florida school shooting.

Unsurprisingly, anti-gun excitement spikes in the immediate aftermath of a mass shooting, but eventually the hysteria subsides. The Florida incident is no outlier.

In late March, the study showed that 75 percent of Americans were in favor of strong or moderate limitations on firearm ownership. However, as indicated by the survey released today, that number has dropped to 69 percent.

It should be noted that the recent poll was taken before the May 18th school shooting near Houston.

It is doubtless that when — not if — another mass shooting occurs, those against the right to bear arms will lament the fact that “nothing has been done” since the last one. But the reality is Americans do not have the sustained resolve required to destroy their own liberties.

At least, not yet.

However, 69 percent could still serve to be an ominous number, depending on the definition of “moderate regulations.”

Even so, the Left doesn’t understand the citizenry. It continuously shoots itself in the foot — no pun intended — by shouting from the mountaintops the culpability of the NRA in mass murder. Those virtue-signaled claims of the absurd do not serve the attainment of their goals. They are mired in slogans and bumper stickers and marches and any other manner of display and sound, rather than attempting to deal reasonably with the societal ills in hand.

The adults running the left side of the political aisle seem no more atune to reality than certain teenaged activists celebrating “Never again” after Parkland. Guess what? “Never again” happened already again — just over 90 days later.

So long as the Left are more enamored by the sound of their own voices and the brilliance of their flags, they will continue to fail to enact any real change. With regard to the 2nd Amendment, that may be a very good thing.

What do you think? Are we better off if all gun control measures fail? Either way, we must find the root cause of mass shootings and address it aptly. What do you think it is?

And of course, please follow Alex Parker on Twitter.

The Verdict: Millennial’s Parents Take Him to Court to Evict Him from Their Home

Ever wonder what’s going on with the younger generation? You know — the ones who need safe spaces to shelter them from opposing ideas, new pronouns to affirm their non-binary sex, and the day off when their favored political candidate loses?

Well, it’s a good question. The times, they are a-changin’. Case in point:

Michael’s Rotondo’s parents, Mark and Christina, have sent their long-haired son multiple letters over the past 5 months, telling him he must move out on his own.

One of the notices read:

Michael,

Here is $1,100 from us to you so you can find a place to stay.

Some advice:

1) Organize the things you need for work and to manage an apartment. Note: You will need stuff at (redacted). You must arrange the date and time through your Father so he can set it up with the tenant.

2) Sell the other things you have that have any significant value, (e.g. stereo, some tools etc.). This is especially true for any weapons you may have. You need the money and will have no place for the stuff.

3) There are jobs available even for those with a poor work history like you. Get one — you have to work!

4) If you want help finding a place your Mother has offered to help you.

Another mandate made a promise:

Michael,

After a discussion with your Mother, we have decided that you must leave this house immediately. You have 14 days to vacate. You will not be allowed to return. We will take whatever actions necessary to enforce this decision.

Mom and Pop weren’t kidding. In fact, the Rotondos finally resorted to the courtroom, where they petitioned a judge to evict their son from their New York home.

Young Rotondo pleaded to New York State Supreme Court Judge Donald Greenwood, “Six months’ notice to [move out] is a reasonable amount of time for someone who has been depending on persons for support.”

The judge sided with the parents: Rotondo will be officially booted.

Michael has been living with his parents for eight years, rent-free.

The adolescent called the ruling “outrageous” and said he plans to appeal.

Micahael Rotondo is 30 years old.

In 2016, those 18-29 voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Tomi Lahren Attacked at Minneapolis Restaurant, and You’ll Be Shocked by her Supporters

Tomi Lahren, known to red staters the country over as — let’s not kid ourselves — the hot chick who espouses conservative political ideas, was harassed at a restaurant in Minneapolis this weekend.

Say it ain’t so!

As recounted by Lahren on Fox and Friends, the fellow diners threw not only obscenities her way, but water:

“I was…with both my parents, and we were just enjoying brunch…and, unfortunately, there was a group of people probably around my age that thought it would be funny to throw water at me and then start chanting profanity at me.”

Perhaps they thought it would melt the wicked witch.

It most certainly did not, and to the rescue came the Wizard of Oztentatious himself, President Donald Trump:

Surprisingly, support also flew in from one of the Wizard’s not-so-friendly-acquaintances, who may be easily imagined by some as toppled by a cycloned house, her black-and-white striped socks and red shoes poking out:

Lahren, who, in the GOP world, is certainly more Dorothy than Elphaba, is standing her ground:

“I’m tough, my family’s tough. We can handle it. … You don’t have to like me, you don’t have to agree with my political opinions, but you don’t have the right to throw things at me. … But again, I’m tough. I can handle it.”

We have reached a sad state in our country, where civil discourse has been replaced by vicious attacks. Encouraged by the anonymity of the internet and — particularly since the election of Donald Trump — aided by the breathtaking lack of decorum on the part of the mainstream media, the rise of vitriol for those on the Right is not particularly surprising anymore.

In the political arena, and in the dialogue which can take us from this place of belligerence to respectful debate, we must find our way back to a more polite time, a place where those who disagree are still united by the fact that they are Americans. That is at the heart of our democratic republic; home is where the heart is. And, as we all know, There’s No Place Like Home.

NEWSFLASH: The DOJ’s Having a Russia Investigation Party, and Democrats Aren’t Invited

On Wednesday, Democratic leaders petitioned the Department of Justice to cancel a closed meeting with top Republicans in the House over highly sensitive documents they requested related to the Russia collusion probe.

However, the Dems said, if the briefing was going to happen, both parties should be invited.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Ca., and committee member Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., are planning to attend the review of information concerning an FBI informant who purportedly attempted an infiltration of President Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Last week, Trump alleged the FBI had spied on his presidential pursuit, demanding the DOJ investigate the bureau’s use of a plant.

Trump went on to (today) label the operation “SPYGATE.”

The whole situation has ruffled the feathers of prominent Democratic egglayers, namely House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Ca., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, N.Y., who insisted the impending meeting would be “completely improper.” Furthermore, in a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Chris Wray, the two clucked:

“[This meeting] would set a damaging precedent for our institutions and the rule of law. We can think of no legitimate oversight justification for the ex parte dissemination – at the direction of the president – of investigative information to the president’s staunchest defenders in Congress and, ultimately, to the president’s legal defense team.”

But, they added, if the party’s gonna happen, they should be allowed to throw on their dancin’ shoes and help themselves to some spiked punch:

“If you have determined in your best judgment that Justice Department participation in the meeting is the only way to prevent this situation from devolving into an outright constitutional crisis, then we believe you must insist on the only appropriate mechanism for highly sensitive briefings that might implicate intelligence sources and methods – a bipartisan Gang of Eight briefing that involves congressional leadership from both chambers.”

Democrat Adam Schiff called the meeting “a serious abuse of power.”

And even this guy said this thing, and he’s a (albeit not-seeking-re-election) Republican:

Meanwhile, this thing is happening:

The saga continues.

What do you think? Should the Democrats be allowed to attend the meeting? Should there be a meeting at all?

More importantly, how big of a win do you believe this entire SPYGATE idea is for the GOP? For once, President Trump has investigators working in defense of him. To me, that seems substantial. Am I wrong? Let the spinning world know in the comments below.

And for more of my coverage on Trump’s accusations of inappropriate FBI espionage, check out this story.

New Poll Sizes Up Andrew Cuomo’s 2nd Term; Will Hillary Help or Hurt?

Great news! New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has received the endorsement of…

Hillary Clinton.

Clinton — the Democratic Party’s belligerent pariah —  has refused to remove herself from the political spotlight, no matter how much her collegues would like for her to go. In fact, as revealed by HuffPost, the embittered loser of the 2016 presidential election is set to speak for Governor Andrew on Wednesday, at the state Democratic convention in Long Island.

In a bizarre turn of events, Cuomo’s challenger is the former star of something former First Lady Clinton’s husband knows a great deal about: Sex and the City.

Actress Cynthia Nixon will vie for the job in the September 13th primary.

However, a recent study by Quinnipiac University gives Cuomo a 22-point lead.

Andrew and the Clintons have a long history: he served as housing secretary during Slick Willy’s White House occupation.

Clinton is, in a sense, repaying the Governor for his endorsement during her humiliating White House bid.

Talking to Bloomberg in 2015, Nixon indicated similar support:

“I am definitely a Hillary person.”

Apparently, Hillary is still thought by some to have political currency. North Dakota Democratic Senator Heidi Heitkamp is not among those:

Furthermore, Hill isn’t known for bringing people together. In fact, she only appeals to people who are “optimistic” and not sinisterly racist, woman-hating bastards:

Andrew Cuomo could do with replacing. He’s been no friend to the 2nd Amendment, resulting in a lawsuit by the NRA; and liberal protestors have previously dubbed him “Governor 1 Percent.” Perhaps he believes the Hillary Clinton brand is just what he needs.

If Nixon wins, I suppose, this will be one more gut punch to the defiantly robust ego of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Vatican Visitor Account: Pope Francis Endorses Homosexuality

According to the account of a recent visitor to the Vatican, Pope Francis has affirmed the lifestyle of homosexuality.

Juan Carlos Cruz, a gay survivor of clergical sex abuse, claims Catholicism’s Bishop of Rome told him during a discussion of church scandal, “God made you like that and he loves you like that.”

Cruz recounted the meeting to Spanish newspaper El Pais:

“He told me, ‘Juan Carlos, the fact that you’re gay doesn’t matter. God made you like that, and he loves you like that, and I don’t care.’”

As a child, the Chilean was victimized by notorious pedophile (and Reverend) Fernando Karadima. Cruz had a two-and-a-half hour talk with Pope Francis regarding his ordeal, during which they discussed his sexuality.

Cruz explained to the supreme pontiff he was not a bad person:

“They had told [the pope] that I was practically a pervert. I explained that I’m not the reincarnation of San Luis Gonzaga, but I am not a bad person, I try to not harm anyone.”

Francis then, as Cruz tells it, made a startling statement:

“The pope loves you [as you are], you have to be happy with who you are.”

Evidently, Catholicism’s big cheese being down with the Rainbow left Juan Carlos super psyched:

Some more traditional members of the Church may be less enthused.

However, this isn’t the first indication that Pope Francis is a little less fire and brimstone and a little more, “Let’s watch Will & (Amazing) Grace”: In a 2013 interview, he asked, “If someone is gay and is searching for the Lord and has good will, then who am I to judge him?”

Ummm…who are you? You’re the Pope. You’re literally exactly the person to do that — you speak for God.

And as such, he suggested that same year that God does not “reject and condemn” homosexuals.

The LA Times jumped for joy over Cruz’s account, reaching out to pro-LGBTQ Rev. James Martin, who said, “This is a big deal, I cannot remember the pope making a comment about gay people being born that way.”

However, a representative for the Vatican wouldn’t confirm the story’s veracity for the Times:

“We don’t normally comment on the pope’s private conversations.”

Cruz’s story, of course, is one-sided. It’s anyone’s guess what was actually said or intended.

Nonetheless, one thing’s for sure: the Church is changing. Protestants, too. In this era where legislation is encroaching upon freedom of speech and societal pressures are felt by religious organizations to support what they have long spoken against, we are surely in for some considerable developments in the very near future.

Please give your thoughts about all of this in the Comments section below.
